Diamondbacks Inaugural Tournament
With a ton of discussion about playing sanctioned tournaments over the past two years the Durham Diamondbacks would finally make their debut in the annual Baltimore spring Tourney.
Going into our first NSA team tournament we didn't know what to expect, because it was a cash prize we could end up playing some sandbaggers.
Missing a few of our players the Dbacks went into the day with 11 guys. Don,Jamie,Steve,Dave,Jay,Miguel,Shawn,Sean,Pat, Gordon and Brad(a new member of the Dbacks 😉)
GAME # 1 Dbacks @ Quinte Rockies (9:15am)
we started the day with someone being a no show. Rumour has it that he was at planet fitness desperate to set off the lunk alarm.Unsure if the rain would hold off we got started right away, winning the coin toss we went straight to the sticks. The Game was a good back and forth battle but unfortunately we couldn't get the bats to heat up(something that usually isn't the issue) We Lost by one run

GAME # 2 Dbacks @ Brew Crew(10:15am)
we went into the second game feeling good after a close loss in our first game, But much of the same thing teams exchanged home runs over the first few inning and before you knew it the game was over. This time a better result TIE....

GAME # 3 Dbacks @ The Replacements (12:15pm)
A bit of a break so we took the opportunity to have a couple cold ones and hopefully loosen up a bit. We knew this would be a tough one as this was a super series team. Well another competitive game but again lost by 1 run.FINAL SCORE: REPLACEMENTS 15 DBACKS 14
This would prove to be our last loss of the day
GAME # 4 Dbacks @ Moon Sparkles(1:30pm)
Moon Sparkles? Moon Sparkles?? ok.😖yes that is their name. The bats finally awake The Dbacks were able to win without much trouble. On to the FINALS!!!

GAME # 5 Dbacks @ Chronic Chaos (2:30pm)
Well Well Well, we made it to the finals. Being a lower seed we were the away team. Dbacks jumped out to a quick lead in the 1st, for the next few innings we traded homers but never gave up the lead. that was it The Durham Diamondbacks WON C ChampionshipFINAL SCORE: DBACKS 12 CHAOS 10
