Reconnaissance

Dbacks go for second straight win, against Recon who they currently are 1-2 against all time. With a win tonight The Dbacks could take over third place, looking good going into the final week of the first half.


With Miggs as the "Beer Bitch" you could bet some of The Dbacks would be in the parking lot a little early for this one.

The game started late, Recon and The Pack had a nail biter with Recon losing by one run in the 7th inning. The Dbacks waited patiently for the game to end.

With the umpire calling for the home team to take the field The Dbacks time keeper did a quick clock check, the game was 20 minutes behind, the umpire ensured them the game would be played in its entirety. The Diamondbacks went straight to the sticks scoring 7 runs in the top of the first with recon putting up 3 of their own.

The next inning Recon was able to further close the gap scoring 5 more runs, trailing 10-7 going into the 3rd.

Top of the third the diamondbacks scored 9 runs taking a commanding 19-7 lead, All was going fantastic when Yoga Ballet Dave decided to "dance" his way from first to third and all the way home all while recons shortstop was holding the ball, the entire team watched in horror as he Sauter/Èlancer passed second, did a pirouette over third and the umpire swore he saw "Jazz hands" when he crossed home plate.









Unbelievably the game was able to continue, by this time The Dbacks fans were getting loud and rowdy, The Dbacks begged the umpire to toss every one of them to no avail. To this point the umpire had been quiet and wanted the game to move along smooth and at a good pace until he yelled out "TIME we have a situation, this batter has NO BALLS!!! and two strikes" 😂

Again the game was able to continue, The Durham Diamondbacks put up a few more runs and before long the game was over. Recon took the defeat well, showed class like always.
