The best chance for a win, The Dbacks would hope for a slugfest but that would not happen and they would fall short in a very disappointing loss.
In the Last inning the umpire would toss 2 of pearl Jams players leaving them short, The Diamondbacks didn't want to win that way so supplied a catcher for Pearl Jam and unfortunately could not make a comeback.
Rookie pitcher Chris Nelson would make his NSP debut, striking out 2 and only allowing 12 runs over 5 innings. but in the end it was not enough as The Dbacks bats never got going.
final score: 12-9 Pearl Jam!!!
