assignment DBACKS Lose a heartbreaker
Monday 7:00PM September 14th, 2020
Diamondbacks lose a heartbreaker in game one of the CSP B division finals after the umpire blows yet another call.

The Dbacks got off to a commanding lead, as the game went on the Admirals would chip away and get a little closer each inning. By the top of the 7th inning a once 12 run lead was down to just 3 runs.

The Diamondbacks bats had gotten cold but would have one more chance to increase their lead. Unfortunately Admirals outfielder Sean Dunn threw a laser beam with pin point accuracy to second base to throw out veteran Jamie Arsenault for the 3rd out (or was it maybe, just maybe a base running error that Arsenault will remember for years to come)

With the dbacks unable to increase their lead the admirals would need just 3 runs to tie and 4 for the walk off win.

The inning would start with Duran as usual getting on base but this time only a single, was he tired? slowing down? would this be the break the Dbacks needed? The Dbacks were able to get the next out, with one out and a man on first- a sharp hit to second and over to first. a double play to win the game, except the umpire blew another call and called safe.

The Admirals would get 3 straight hits to win the game and take a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. A tough fought game by both teams. The Dbacks would have to shake this game off quickly as the second game of the doubleheader would be played shortly
