As of late the Durham Diamondbacks have been showing some signs of wear and tear. The D-backs being the oldest team in the Division had their newest injury Wednesday night VS The Renegades. Aging outfielder Jessey Thompson went down with a "wrist" injury. At the time of the recap it was unclear on how the injury occurred but there was definitely some speculation.

The Diamondbacks were not at their best, but with grit and determination, were able to tie the ball game in the 6th inning than.... with no outs in the top of the 7th, the bases loaded, up comes all star catcher Graham "short shorts" Crouse. Back back way back that ball is outta here. Crouse's first of the year and first as a D-back.

The Diamondbacks would take a 4 run lead into the bottom of the final inning but unfortunately were not able to hold off The Renegades and eventually getting walked off to lose their first game of the 2021 season.

Notably missing veteran players, outfielder Pat Shirbon and Shortstop Steve Oliveira.
