Wednesday Night The Durham Diamondbacks were finally back at it after more then a week of down time. The D-backs bats never got going but their defense was on point, only allowing 2 runs the entire game. Starting right hander Don Cole was pitching a shut out well into the fifth inning.
Rookie outfielder Mike Greeves made sure "eh Holes " would not put up many runs as he would show off his tracking and range on a windy night at Clarington Fields.
The Durham Diamondbacks did manage to hit two triples in this game but only score a total of 12 runs far lower than what they are used to.
A win is a win and The Diamondbacks continue to climb the standings, chasing last years "A" champs The Banana Slugs.
