Velocity now a much improved team from the start of the 2022 season, almost coming together as if a veteran team. Unfortunately for them the Durham Diamondbacks came ready for anything that velocity would throw at them.
With Diamondbacks roster dwindling they were forced to call up some rookie players to fill in, that and the D-backs in the middle of a 🔥HOT🔥 streak was all they would need to secure their 16th victory of the season
What seems to be a bit of a recurring thing, shortstop Oliveira throws another momentum killing double play. Runs have been tough to get against this D-backs defence all season long.
Crossley hit his team leading 7th dinger of the season, along with Holt and Hoover. Holts being inside the park.... speed kills as the saying goes.
The D-Backs played well but not well enough and would surely have to step it up if they stand a chance against their next opponent, the still undefeated "Banana Slugs" who just finished destroying the 2020 champs "Deadlast" 35-2.
