Much closer than the final score would suggest, The Sliders hung in till the final inning and had the Diamondbacks looking down the barrel of the gun just not able to pull the trigger. In the end The Diamondbacks were able to come up with the win .
20-11.

Now A Veteran, outfielder Jeff Holt Has been adding to his batting AVG as of late and is currently in the middle of his best season as a Dback. again going 3 for 4 on this night.

Three home runs in the game, if you can call them home runs when they are not out of the park and not without errors.

** injury report** Before the Allstar break veteran pitcher/2nd baseman Don Cole injured his calf running down the first base line. Cole is currently on the 14 day DL and is hopeful for a quick recovery.

Gucci VS Thompson now in full affect, Gucci was able to make up a little ground tonight but with only five games left in the regular season it will be tough to make a comeback with Thompson continuing to hit well night in and night out.
( was it decided the player that losses has to take the team out for beer and wings at Stones throw??) of course Playoffs is a whole other situation.
