The Durham Diamondbacks move on to the Semi finals after an impressive win with a shortened roster.
The D-Backs may have won the Quarter final series but also on this night the longest running CSP streak was unfortunately SNAPPED... with so many veteran players missing the Diamondbacks were unable to continue the "Beers in the parking lot streak" the slugs were able to out last the Dbacks on this one and hopefully only night.
this streak will surely never be broken going back all the way to May of 2022.
On short Notice Carl Payne was called up from the Chatham (Cape Code) league to help out and did a great job at first. with some smart hitting and rock solid defense, while Matt Fairhart continued to impress in centre field with a highlight reel sliding catch.
The D-backs Move on to face off against The White Sox in the Semi finals.The Series begins Wednesday night @ 7pm sharp. The White Sox' In their first season have improved all year and now are a valid contending team.
Gucci went 6-6 at the plate and now holds a lead over Thompson in the "playoff" portion of the competition.
